Staff Biographies

Paul Ochieng
Architect, Co-founder

Paul Ochieng, MAAK is the co-founder of Outsource DESIGNS. In addition to his firm-wide role as CEO, he has directed a wide variety of projects in each of the firm’s primary practice areas. These have ranged from small projects for nonprofits and institutions to large-scale mixed-use building programs. He has completed projects throughout the EAC and several other countries including UK, Indonesia, Ghana and S. Sudan.

Mr. Ochieng’s range of experience has made him a firm-wide resource on planning, feasibility programming, and project management. Mr. Ochieng received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Nairobi and Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Nottingham, UK. He is a registered architect in Kenya by BORAQS. He is a visiting member of the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IIA), and is active in several civic and community organizations.

Mr. Charles D. Karisa
Arch-Planner

Mr. Charles D. Karisa is an architect, urban planner, and environmental manager. He is also a lecturer at the School of the Built Environment, University of Nairobi. He holds a Bachelors degree in Architecture and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning. Mr. Karisa is registered and licensed to practice in various fields, namely Architecture (BORAQS), Physical Planning (PPRB), and Environmental Management (NEMA).

He is a member of the Architectural Association of Kenya (MAAK) and Kenya Institute of Planners (MKIP). He brings on board a decade’s experience in urbanism spanning the fields of architecture, urban and regional planning, urban design, site planning, environmental management, and housing and human settlements planning. Mr. Karisa engages in research in urban built heritage, space identity, negotiated production of space, informal settlement upgrading, and participatory planning and design. He is currently co-Leader of the Urban Innovations Project (UIP) of the University of Nairobi.
 

Eric Juma Ologi
Architect Assistant

Eric Ologi Juma is a graduate from the University of Nairobi, school of Architecture and has over 4 years’ experience with the firm. He is involved in major projects within the firm at a various stages in designs and coordination capacity.  His main responsibilities include the preparation of architectural designs, site visits, project documentation and technical specifications.

 

Pande Herricks
Architectural Technician

Graduate with Diploma in Architecture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology’s school or Architecture and Built Sciences.  Pande has been in practice for the last five years. His experience is on design, preparation of council and working drawings.

 

Vincent Moki Mulatya
Architectural Technician

Graduate with Diploma in Architecture from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology school of Architecture and Built Sciences.  Vincent has over 3 years work experience. His main responsibilities are rendering, preparation of presentation drawings, site visits and inspection and preparation of council and working drawings.

 

Marcy Kemunto Nyachoti
Accounts and Admin Officer

Graduate with MBA-Finance, Bachelor of commerce in Accounting both from Daystar University and CPA. Marcy has over 3 years experience is management and accounting.  She is responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining the company’s books of accounts, and portfolio management.
